ZensInk is an independent project operated by a solo developer. This policy explains what data we handle and how — in plain language.
Three Types of Users
Free CLI users: No personal data is ever sent to us. The tools run on your machine and talk directly to Google, Bing, and your own Search Console. Your API keys and credentials never leave your computer.
Paid users (Pro, Lifetime, or Supporter): When you make a purchase, our payment provider shares your email address and a payment confirmation with us. We use this to deliver your license key and manage your access.
What We Collect
- Your email address (for license key delivery and support)
- Payment confirmation and order ID (we never see your card details)
- Your license key and activation status
- Project brief data from service customers (website URL, target market, competitor info, goals)
We do not collect: your real name, location, browsing history, device fingerprints, or any data from the free CLI tools.
How We Use Your Data
- To deliver and verify Pro package downloads
- To manage Supporter subscriptions
- To provide customer support if you contact us
We do not send marketing emails. The only emails you receive are transactional (license key delivery, report delivery, support replies, or subscription confirmations).
Payment Processing
Payments are handled by a third-party Merchant of Record. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or any payment credentials. We only receive your email and a confirmation that payment succeeded.
Analytics
We use two analytics tools to understand aggregate traffic (page views, country, referrer): Umami, a self-hosted, privacy-friendly tool that uses no cookies and does not track you across other websites; and Google Analytics, which uses cookies to collect anonymized usage data. You can block either via your browser's cookie settings or a content blocker.
Third-Party APIs (CLI Tools)
The free CLI tools connect directly from your computer to these services:
- Google Autocomplete — keyword suggestions (anonymous, no account)
- Bing Webmaster Tools — search volume (your own API key)
- Google Search Console — your site search data (your own credentials)
Pro Tools Only
- Serper.dev — SERP analysis (requires your own API key, stored locally)
All API keys and credentials stay on your machine. Nothing is transmitted to ZensInk servers.
Data Retention
Purchase records are kept for as long as needed to provide and support the service. You can request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@zens.ink.
Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. If you want to cancel a Supporter subscription, you can do so from the payment provider — access continues until the end of your billing period.
